Hi All, Does anyone know why, when one goes to the URL www.something.com, all that is on the page is the word something? I found this out years ago, and have wondered ever since, why someone would waste a domain like that? Caitlin
Isn't it true that every time a site gets a hit someone gets paid somewhere? I think? so I guess if everyone gets really bored and goes there someone gets like a hit royalty or something... lol I dunno, I'm really stupid and yeah. grin

No way, someone gets paid? How do I get myself on the receiving end of that? Lol? You must be right, TS, there must be some reasoning behind it. Isn't it weird though?

lol yah thats kind of stupid since if there is just the word something its totally ridiculous, I mean how would someone waste space on the internet in such manner lol

well after a while I actually worked out that it says "something" not once but twice, one on each of the two lines. other than that of course it's hard to tell but yeah do wonder if there's a picture?!
WIERD! I gotta agree that's a waste of a domain! Some else coud be wanting that domain! Geez I'd like a free domain for my site lol. Sounds like one of those visitor traps where someone goes on the site and I dunno what the reciving party gets in return.
I just went on there. All it says is "Something." Thats it! Nothing else! I even checked the source code and thats all I saw was the one word and period.
Yeah, I think ito nly says it once, but maybe it does say it twice and I'm not noticing? I don't think there's a picture, but I could be wrong. I don't think it's giving viruses or anything? I mean, there's nothing to click on! Caitlin

Nope, no pictures. A blank page with only "Something." no links, or anything else. Maybe it's just someones sense of humor. Who knows. Where did you find this website? How did you come across it?
Hmmm, sounds really weird, a site written by a 2 year old, except I know a 2 year old is too young to do anything on the computer.

Um I think a friend told me about it. But when I was in like fourth grade and didn't know how to surf the net, I used to just type in random sites. I learned not to do that the hard way, lol! Now I go to Google or another search engine, because if you even misspell something, you can be taken to a horrid site you don't want to be at! So I may have found it that way. Lol. But that is really weird, and wasteful. Lol! Caitlin
Lol I still do that when I'm bored. that's how I've gotten to work out www.bored.com existed and so much more. and also www.rachelrocks.net but unfortunately it's not me. wasn't quick enough :(
